Introducing WoodYouBuildIt

I wanted to introduce you guys to this amazing Etsy shop that makes handcrafted woodworking that is absolutely genius! I loved working with this company and the owner Justin for this collaboration and can't wait to show you our new WoodYouBuildIt customized design we have in our home!

First here is a little background information on the company.

Wood You Build It is making a name for itself in online retail A-Z woodworking. What is A-Z woodworking, you're wondering?
We take handcrafted woodworking to a whole new level:
From concept to creation, from design to delivery,  every product from WYBI  is made to order and we also hand deliver right to your home! We truly believe that you are buying something that will be passed down for generations to come, therefore why not put a face behind the creation?!
This type of service is unheard of in today's busy and corporate world! We take the big box stores and brown box couriers out of the equation.
As the business grows, so will the staff. We use basic power tools and no matter how large we get, we will increase the workforce as opposed to purchasing expensive robotic machinery. This is our belief of what true American craftsmanship should be.

Our Approach

Our vision is big and unique. At WYBI, we believe the service is just as important as the product you purchase. We may be an online retail woodworking shop, but it doesn't stop there. We personally hand deliver all furniture to you and give each and every client the white glove treatment. In addition, everything you purchase is made to order. We are not pulling from row T, aisle 6, shelf 2A, so to speak. We receive an order and build based on your specs!
We believe that this unique technique will allow WYBI to grow over the years and eventually become a household name. We have a vision, we're ambitious, and are extremely excited for you all to be part of the ride!

Our Rags to Riches Story

Wood You Build It's story is a good one. Back in 2011, my wife was due with our first child. Like many others, we had a plastic trash can in our kitchen. My wife, Kate, asked me if I could build something to hide the trash and keep out of reach of our baby.
So I sit down, draw up some plans, and you would think the rest was history, right?! Wrong. One major problem. We didn't have the money for me to buy the materials to build it. Eventually, I gathered up enough scrap wood from around the house, and also 'borrowed' some boards from a relative.
Fast forward to 2012. I heard of this site that features handcrafted items. It is called Etsy. For the fun of it, I took a photo of the bin (without my wife's knowledge mind you) and posted the bin for sale. Within hours, it was sold! (much to Kate's dismay)....now the rest is history!

I love this Etsy store and love how they will customize your design to fit in any room of your home! I also love all of the options of wood and colors they give you. We recycle a ton in our home so this is the perfect addition to our home creating a two drawer recycling bin that still looks elegant and fits with our decor. The piece is very well made and makes our living room look complete.

I also love that I can decorate the top of the piece with each holiday coming up! Can't wait to start thinking of Easter items to place on top! Currently WoodYouBuilt is delivering to these states: ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY. NJ, PA. Make sure you check out WoodYouBuilt's Etsy page and you can use this discount code for 10% off: blogger10!!
