Hummus Spread


Happy World Vegan Day! 

I have been vegan now 7 months nows and have loved everything minute of it. 
Since today is World Vegan Day I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes. 
This recipe is one word -- delicious. 

Its also perfect for anyone missing tuna salad or ham salad on a vegan diet.
 I'm not sure how exactly to describe the flavor but its like a cross of hummus & a mock tuna salad.           
 Hummus is now one of our favorite spreads to make in our house and always a party favorite. 
Plus its so easy to make! 


Ingredients

1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas; rinsed and drained

3 tablespoons Tahini

1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard 

1/4 cup chopped pickles (optional)

1 teaspoon capers; drained

1 tablespoon garlic powder 

1 tablespoon paprika 


Directions

Blend in a high speed food processor until smooth 

Serve with celery, carrots, or chips

Refrigerate for up to 1 week

[+This would be perfect on a piece of toast!]
