DIY Bath Bombs

DIY Bath Bomb Recipe!

I love the bath bombs from lush but I hate the crazy amount of ingredients and how expensive they are!

So I thought what if I could just make them at home. They are so easy, quick, and inexpensive to make that you'll wonder why you haven't done it before!

Also they would make amazing Christmas presents!!

Flexible silicon baking molds - I purchased mine at Jo Ann Fabrics (link here)
1 cup Baking Soda
1 cup Epson Salts
1/3 cup Olive Oil
1/4 cup Water
100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils (7 drops)

If you'd like your bath bombs to fizz: 1 cup citric acid
If you'd like your bath bombs to be colored: food coloring

In a large bowl you want to combined all the dry ingredients and whisk together.
In a medium bowl you want to mix together all the liquids slowly.

Once both are mixed, you want to slowly add in the liquid mixture into the dry.

Mix together and fill each mold 1/3 of the way with mixture.
(The bath bombs will rise so make sure you don't fill your molds up completely!)

Let them dry for a few hours and then you can pop each bath bomb out of the mold.

I found this cute container for my bath bombs at Homegoods for under $12.00 and it work perfect on our bathroom sink. Now its so easy just to grab for my next relaxing at home spa day!

Let me know if you try making homemade bath bombs!

  1. How fun! I don't think I realized you could make these at home! Bath bombs are always more relaxing than a bubble bath for me, so I think I'll have to make these!

  2. Totally doing this for Christmas gifts! I really should comment more, because your blog is awesome - love all your posts, but especially this one right now!
